CIHT ran a one day 'Decluttering’ Workshop in London on 18th September.
This workshop looked at DfT’s initiative to reduce signing and street clutter. It also included an off site visit to a local scheme within walking distance of the venue within the City of London.

The walking tour through the City embraced a variety of streets and spaces. The major schemes that were viewed included Aldermanbury Square, Cheapside and finally St Paul's Churchyard. The last two schemes were completed this year.

For those who wished to stay until 17:00, two further schemes were viewed. These are Queen Street, where huge pedestrian and cyclist interaction occurs, and Cannon Street, where a combined highway and security scheme was delivered in time for the Olympics.
