New online service makes becoming professionally qualified more accessible

CIHT members applying for CEng, IEng or EngTech registration can now use a streamlined digital application service. This brand-new online tool allows members to collate the evidence and examples of competence to apply for professional registration.

Each qualification has its own easy to use application process and records progress towards the appropriate Engineering Council standards (UK-SPEC, 4^th edition).

This new service allows members to have an easily accessible way to apply for professional registration through CIHT. It is easy to use and allows applicants to save their progress as they go.

Members can add to their portfolio when they are ready, and the system will collate all the submitted information into one core document that meets CIHT requirements.           

How to get started?

All applicants must have completed an initial assessment before starting an application. If you have not completed an initial assessment or if you no longer have your initial assessment outcome letter/email, please visit: www.ciht.org.uk/initialassessment 

If your initial assessment confirms eligibility for standard route, or one a technical report or further learning report has been successfully completed, members are able to access the service for Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng)  and the Engineering Technician (EngTech) qualification.
