“CIHT and our members will take part in a numerous activities around the country focusing on the women in engineering, STEM and how best to inspire young women into the sector. We are a supporter of International Women in Engineering Day, as it is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the important role played by women in engineering and the industry. Through collaborating in campaigns such as this, we at CIHT are playing our part in highlighting the various opportunities available for women in the industry.”

  • Our CIHT STEM Ambassadors are inspiring the next generation and promoting the message that the industry is open to everyone.
  • CIHT West Midlands Innovative Women in Transport and Engineering exhibition currently at the Thinktank Science Museum, Birmingham showcases the diverse career opportunities in the sector to primary and secondary school pupils.
  • CIHT Awards recognise the achievements of professionals and organisations in the sector.  This year’s CIHT Young Professional 2018 award winner, Nicola Blaney, a Chartered Engineer through CIHT has a successful career in the industry and is making a valuable contribution to our professional community.
  • CIHT have also produced a podcast supporting International Women in Engineering Day."
