Last year, CIHT launched a Careers Toolkit to attract young people into the highways and transportation sector. The Toolkit was unveiled by Lord Ahmad alongside CIHT Chief Executive Sue Percy at the House of Lords on Monday 25 April 2016.
The interactive set of materials is designed to showcase the exciting careers within the transport sector, and can be used in Primary and Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universities.
CIHT member and STEM Ambassador Joanne Waddington has recently used the CIHT toolkit, and has said:
“I recently made use of the KS2 resources within the CIHT Careers Toolkit to run 1.5 hour session with 60 Year 3 children, in my capacity as a STEM Ambassador. I found the toolkit really useful and easy to use, and the children loved the drawing activity, which stimulated lots of enthusiastic discussion. I found the whole experience incredibly enjoyable and rewarding and can’t wait to do it again. Thank you CIHT!"
