CIHT Education Team have:

We received a total of 119 applications for Engineering Qualifications in 2016. The highest number received in a single year. Have also seen an increase in the number of candidates applying through ‘individual routes’.

TPP applications increased in 2017

Education and qualifications presentations were delivered throughout the country at; CIHT regional events, corporate partners and several large events.

Several reviewer and mentor training sessions took place to enable more CIHT members to be able to qualify

We developed an interactive careers toolkit to attract young people into careers in highways & transportation as a resource for CIHT Ambassadors when visiting primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities. The toolkit was endorsed by the Department for Transport and launched at the House of Lords.

Partnered with Transport for London, Network Rail, HS2, the National Skills Academy for Rail and Young Rail Professionals, we created a virtual transport world on the careers website Plotr.

We helped to launch the UK’s first Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship at the Leeds College of Building.
