The STPR2 is pivotal in reviewing the strategic transport network’s performance, informing transport investment in Scotland for the next 20 years (2022-2042) by providing evidence-based recommendations on which Scottish Ministers can base future transport investment decisions.
The CIHT believes this consultation as being important in making sure that Scotland’s future transport projects are accessible, connected and contribute to economic growth. Therefore, to make sure the voice of the institution was heard in this consultation, the whole of the membership was approached for views. However, it was the CIHT’s partnership network that played a crucial role in helping to shape this response, once again highlighting the important role our partners play.
This consultation response builds upon a previous submission for the National Planning Framework 4 consultation, highlighting the CIHT’s commitment to shaping policy in devolved nations.
