The majority of Londoners are concerned about potential cuts to TfL services due to decreased revenue as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, according to a new survey published by Centre for London.

The survey, undertaken from 23 February to 7 march, asked 1,549 Londoners what their experience was of the public transport network in London, and what their views were on the potential solutions that could solve TfL’s funding crisis. The results showed:
When presented with options to increase revenue for TfL 27% of respondents indicated that they would support increasing charges to drive a motor-vehicle in London. Furthermore, when asked about whether the introduction of a pay-per-mile road user charging scheme as an alternative to current charging schemes – ULEZ and congestion charging – 42% said they would support this.
