We hope you will agree that the focus of our navigation and modern design reflects the dynamism of your region. CIHT professionals within the region are engaged in contributing to major infrastructure developments that are important to the regional and national economy.

In 2018 developments in your region include:

• East Midlands Councils (EMC) leaders welcome the Department for Transport announcement of an additional £1.8 million to help make the most of HS2 in the East Midlands.  The September 2017 East Midlands HS2 Growth Strategy sets out proposals from local partners to use HS2 to create 74,000 jobs in the East Midlands and give a £4 billion boost to the local economy.
• Around £2m Government funding could be used to introduce a public electric vehicle charging network across Nottinghamshire, Derby and Nottingham by 2020.
• Nottinghamshire's first-ever electric buses will serve local communities in Stapleford, Toton, Attenborough and Beeston. The £910,000 project is in addition to £500,000 Government funding and £410,000 worth of Nottinghamshire County Council investment.
