A pivotal player in this pursuit of excellence in the transport industry is the Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE). BCOE has achieved remarkable growth since being launched in Summer 2023 , boasting a thriving community of over 700 members who collectively contribute to the centre’s vibrant and collaborative ecosystem. This free resource is available to anyone with an interest in the bus industry.

BCOE is now looking for a new leader to take them into the next stage of the exciting programme. To ensure the ongoing success of a Bus Centre of Excellence, it is crucial to have effective leadership at the helm. The Head of the BCoE plays a pivotal role in shaping the vision, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving results. 

The ideal candidate should be committed to improving bus transport provision across England, possess a strong background in business operations, a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, and be comfortable fostering collaborations with stakeholders in central and local government as well with operators and key players in the sector. The Head of BCoE should be adept at navigating complex organisational structures effectively communicating the value of the BCoE to key stakeholders and being an ambassador of the BCoE across the bus industry.

This premier event received high levels of positive feedback from the over 200 industry professionals and thought leaders who attended to engage in insightful discussions, share best practice, and explore the latest advancements in the bus industry.
