The Scottish Transport Applications and Research (STAR) Conference will return on Wednesday 12 May 2027, bringing together transport professionals, researchers, policymakers and academics from across Scotland and beyond.
Returning for the first time since 2022, the conference will explore the theme Navigating Change: People, Technology and the Future of Transport.
STAR provides a multidisciplinary forum for critical thinking, debate and the exchange of evidence, experience and ideas. The conference will consider how transport policy and practice can respond to changing social needs, emerging technology, environmental pressures and an uncertain future.
Call for abstracts - Deadline 30 November 2026
Transport professionals, researchers and academics are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the conference.
The call is open to anyone with knowledge, research, practical experience or new thinking that can contribute to the future of transport in Scotland. Submissions are welcomed from across the profession, with early career professionals particularly encouraged to take part.
