CIHT Cymru Wales Awards

The CIHT Cymru Wales Awards celebrate the very best Wales offers across the key areas of highways and transportation. They are open to everyone: members and non-members; small and large organisations; public, private and third sector. The Awards recognise the outstanding contribution that good projects and people make to our daily lives.

The deadline for entry is at 1700hrs on Thursday 10th September 2026. The same project/product can be submitted for a maximum of two award categories in the same year. This year CIHT Cymru Wales will award Project of the Year from amongst the winners in the following categories:

  • Alun Griffiths Healthy, Safety & Wellbeing Award
  • Bus Project of the Year Award
  • Collaboration Award

The CIHT Cymru Wales Committee is delighted to announce that we are hosting the Annual Awards Dinner at The Kinmel, Abergele, on 27th November 2026 again this year. Join us in celebrating transport and engineering in Wales. Bookings for the event will go live in due time.

CIHT Cymru Wales Award Entries 2026

Project Information
If entering the Emerging Professional of the Year category, please enter the name of the nominee here.
Award Submission
Provide us with an overview of your entry. Be clear, concise and tell us why your work is worth further attention. (max 100 words)
Entries must clearly explain how the submission meets the criteria within each criteria's word limit and must not exceed the total 1,000 maximum word limit.
Entries must be accompanied by 3 high resolution project photographs. (e.g. illustrations, plans or results of monitoring studies.
Entries may be support by videos. Any videos must be sent with a link to be viewed at the judge’s discretion. (optional)
Entries may be accompanied by up to three letters of support. For example from a user, beneficiary or colleague.
Conditions of Entry The decision of the judges appointed by the Awards Panel will be final. No correspondence will be entered into with entrants concerning the decision of the judges on any matter associated with the CIHT Cymru Wales Awards 2026. The Awards Panel reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry for any reason it considers valid, and will not enter into any discussion or correspondence concerning the decision. All material submitted will be treated as available for publication in awards-related articles within press releases and promotional materials developed for the Awards, unless otherwise copyright protected.
