CIHT Cymru Wales Policy Forum

The CIHT Cymru Wales Policy Forum is a member-led initiative established in 2021 with a central purpose to represent CIHT members in Wales. The Forum aims to convey professional advice and opinion to elected bodies and society at large in a way that is relevant to the specific geography, characteristics and governance of the transport network in Wales.

Consultation Response - February 2022

Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation response to the consultation on Cardiff to Newport active travel and bus corridors.

In collaboration with Cardiff and Newport Council (MCC), Transport for Wales was seeking views on options to improve active travel and bus routes along the NCN88 and A48 respectively, with a focus on inclusive and sustainable transport choices.

Welsh Infrastructure Alliance: Shaping Wales' future: using national indicators and milestones to measure our nation’s progress

As part of the Welsh Infrastructure Alliance (WIA), CIHT Cymru Wales was asked to contribute to the Shaping Wales Future consultation. The purpose of this consultation was to seek views on setting national milestones for Wales that will assist Ministers in assessing progress towards achieving the seven well‑being goals as set out in the Well‑being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
