Georgia is an Associate Transport Planner at WSP with 10 years of experience, specialising in the delivery of public sector transport programmes and projects for combined authorities and local authorities.
She has particular expertise in sustainable travel and has contributed to a wide range of major funding programmes, including the Transforming Cities Fund, City Region Sustainable Transport Settlements, and the Levelling Up Fund.
Georgia began her career in 2016 as an Apprentice Transport Planner, completing the pioneering Level 3 Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship at Leeds College of Building. She later progressed to achieve the Level 6 Transport Planning Integrated Degree Apprenticeship with Aston University and is currently working towards Chartered status with the CIHT.
In addition to her Chair role, Georgia actively contributes to the profession through her involvement as an Engineering Technician reviewer, a Level 3 Transport Planning End Point Assessment Reviewer, and a member of the CIHT Engineering Professional Standards Panel.
Mark is a Senior Transport Planner based in Leeds with Mott MacDonald.
He is passionate about sustainability and has significant experience in business case development and appraisal, transport economics, and transport decarbonisation.
Mark has been supporting the CIHT in Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as nationally, in various roles since 2019.
Roger is a qualified civil, structural, mechanical, production and electrical engineer.
He is a Chartered Project Professional with over 50 years’ experience, largely spent designing, constructing, managing, sponsoring, and reviewing complex and high-risk programmes and projects across industries in the public and private sectors.
Having worked for National Highways and its predecessors for nearly two decades in numerous roles, Roger is currently the Programme Sponsor within the Regional Investment Programme of Major Projects. His skills include portfolio, programme and project management, customer and stakeholder management, conflict resolution, negotiation, contract management, communication, and value and benefits management. He is also an APMG-International Better Business Cases (TM) Practitioner and an accredited High-Risk Independent Assurance Reviewer.

Omar is a Graduate Carbon Management consultant at Mott Macdonald with almost three years of experience within the transport sector.
Omar has a background in civil engineering with Transport and master’s degree from the Institute of Transport Studies at the University of Leeds. He has previously been Chair of the Emerging Professionals Committee in the region.
Ed is a chartered transport planning professional based in Leeds with ITP by Haskoning, with nearly 20 years' experience in the UK and abroad.
His expertise covers transport policy and strategy, modelling and sustainable transport, with notable projects including the West Yorkshire Connectivity Infrastructure Plan, Leeds Local Plan, and Homes England masterplans.
He has served on several CIHT Regional Committees, including the North East and North West and was previously the recipient of the CIHT National Young Professional of the Year and Chair of the Year. He chaired the Yorkshire and the Humber region from 2024 - 2026.
Rich is an experienced highways leader, joining Carnell after spending twenty years in the public sector, where he led teams across Operations, Strategy, Transformation and Finance departments at National Highways.
During this time, Rich led large-scale regional and national programmes, delivering operational excellence, transforming asset management systems and approaches, and building successful partnerships to enhance customer service and safety.
Rich likes to stay busy, being a Trustee on the board of a charity, a mental health first aider, a Fairness-Inclusion-Respect Ambassador, an EDI Officer for CIHT, an active cricketer and an occasional golfer.
Anna is an Apprentice Transport Planner at SCP Transport with almost three years’ experience in the Transport sector.
Anna is currently studying on the Degree Apprentice BSc Course at Aston University. Whilst working at SCP as part of this, she enjoys working on public transport and development planning projects, encouraging people to travel sustainably.
Tom is past chair of the CIHT Yorkshire and the Humber Committee and Regional Representative on National Council.
He is currently Sponsorship Director at National Highways where he has worked for over 13 years, having started on their graduate development programme and undertaking secondments with both designer and contractor.
Tom is a Chartered Project Professional with significant experience in the delivery of highway infrastructure projects at all stages of the project lifecycle. In his current role, he is responsible for the governanance and assurance activities, development of business cases, and achievement of outcomes for projects within the Complex Delivery Programme.
Outside of his core role, Tom also spends a significant amount of time mentoring early talent and emerging professionals to support their development.

from local junction improvement to multi-million projects nationally in the UK and Republic of Ireland. He is a Principal Engineer in Roughan & O’Donovan Consulting Engineers based in Otley office near Leeds.
Michael undertakes professional reviews for CIHT and provides professional development advice to professionals.
Andy is currently a freelance Project Manager having over 40 years experience in the Civil Engineering industry mainly with contractors.
Andy is a Graduate of the University of Leeds with a degree in Civil Engineering. He began his career as a graduate engineer in 1984 working for a for a small number of contractors before joining a Regional Contractor in 2006 as Project Manager on their first major highway scheme in Yorkshire. Andy became Regional Manager with the contractor in 2008, a role he carried out until November 2014. Andy has been mainly in freelance roles since 2014.
Andy is a Past Chair of the CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber Region. He is also a past Chair of The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (Yorkshire and Humberside), having previously been a member of the Executive Committee.
Stephen Granville is a Project/Programme Planning professional with experience supporting the delivery of highways, transportation, and infrastructure projects across major UK frameworks.
He specialises in project planning, programme controls, and project delivery, helping project teams achieve successful outcomes through structured planning, forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
Stephen has contributed to the delivery of a range of highways and infrastructure schemes, including local authority highway renewal and improvement programmes, smart motorway projects, motorway and street lighting upgrades, traffic sign renewals, technology-enabled highways schemes, rail infrastructure, and flood defence projects. He has also been involved in research exploring digital transformation within the construction industry.
A committed member of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), Stephen previously served as Recruitment Officer for the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Committee and continues to support the committee as an Ordinary Member.
Outside of work, Stephen volunteers as a School Governor and STEM Ambassador, mentoring young people and encouraging the next generation to explore careers in engineering, transportation, infrastructure, and the built environment.
Leanne Farrow is a Chartered Transport Planning Professional (CTPP) and has particular expertise in transport policy and strategy, business case development and travel behaviour change.
In 2023, she joined Leeds City Council to support the city's ambition and vision for sustainable transport. Prior to this, Leanne was a transport planning consultant for 16 years with Mott MacDonald and JMP Consulting.
Since obtaining CTPP in 2014, Leanne has been a passionate advocate for the qualification through mentoring, being a member of the CTPP Professional Standards Committee (PSC) and more recently as an assessor for the Portfolio of Technical Knowledge (PTK) route.
At the very start of her career, Leanne was an early member of the region's Young Professionals Committee, so is thrilled to come back to the regional Committee some 18 years later!
Emma Roberts is currently a Technical Manager for Business Case and Strategy at Sweco, a role she has held since November 2024.
With over 12 years of experience at Fore Consulting Ltd, Emma has also worked for prominent organisations such as Arup, Mouchel, and TRL Ltd. Emma holds a BA Honours in Geography and an MSc in Transport Planning from the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds. She qualified as an APMG Better Business Case Practitioner in April 2021 and has previously acted as a vocational assessor for the Level 3 Transport Planning Apprenticeship on behalf of Leeds College of Building.
Paul is a qualified Transport Planner and Engineer with over 25 years’ experience, mainly planning and delivery of active travel projects.
He is active travel lead at SYSTRA where he is based in their Leeds and York offices. He led Sustrans’ national work with schools and young people and was regional director for their work programme in Yorkshire. Paul has a strong background in communications with a particular interest in innovative consultation methods.
