Awards 2020

The CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber Awards celebrate the very best the region offers across the key areas of highways and transportation. They are open to everyone: members and non-members; small and large organisations; public, private and third sector. The Awards aim to recognise the outstanding contribution that good projects and people make to our daily lives.

Due to Covid-19 the awards will still happen this year, but they will be virtual in nature. All award winners will be announced in a virtual ceremony on Friday 25th September 2020. We will confirm details of that in due course.

We would like to thank our sponsors Graham, Knights Plc and Colas for their continued support for the region in this challenging year.

Please see the categories for 2020 below:

  • Apprentice Of The Year Award 2020 – Sponsored by Graham
  • Best Large Highways & Transportation Project Award 2020 - Sponsored by Knights Plc

Do you want to be involved?

With the AGM fast approaching, do you want to be involved in the Yorkshire and Humber CIHT Committee?

We are always looking for new members from the region to support us. It’s not a full time role, is voluntary and you would be able to help increase membership, provide advocacy for CIHT, organise events, connect with other professionals and let’s be honest, it will look great on your CV too!

We like to have good representation from across the industry so no matter what sector you are in we would love to hear from you!

Please contact James or Seb at yorkshireandthehumber@ciht.org.uk if you are interested.

The CIHT Region is here for you:

We all know that at the moment times are tough for many colleagues in the industry; whether it is those on furlough or sadly those who have been a victim of the current financial impact due to COVID-19.  If you would like to talk to anyone on the committee during this time about what CIHT can offer CPD wise, membership queries or how you can continue to keep in touch with the industry, please feel free to contact yorkshireandthehumber@ciht.org.uk

Even if you just want a friendly chat with one of team we would be more than willing to listen.

Best wishes,
James Leeming
Chair for CIHT Yorkshire and the Humber Committee
