This webinar will share practical ways that those involved in local transport planning can embed equality and inclusion in their own processes.
The issues widely present in the North’s transport system cause major social challenges. 3.3 million people in the North live in areas where they face a high risk of social exclusion because of these issues, and transport problems compound social disadvantage and inequality. This webinar will share practical ways that those involved in local transport planning can embed equality and inclusion in their own processes. This will include the evidence, data tools, and other steps we can take to ensure that transport strategies, plans, and schemes deliver for areas and communities facing transport-related social exclusion.
The event is aimed broadly at those involved in the development of transport strategies, local plans, and schemes with a research, analysis, or strategic role. No prior knowledge of the subject is necessary; however, participants may benefit from having read the introduction to transport-related social exclusion available at transportforthenorth.com/social-inclusion
