Stuart is a civil engineer with 38 years’ experience working for and with the public and private sectors, as well as in contracting.
Currently with WSP in the Operations and Safety team, Stuart's experience in highway maintenance, highway design, collision investigation and road safety engineering has allowed him to apply that knowledge to the Professional Review process.
Stuart has been a CIHT reviewer for over 10 years, covering both EngTech and IEng assessments and continues to be impressed with the dedication and knowledge of applicants sitting their reviews.
Catherine is a civil engineer at Amey with more than 12 years’ experience across site development, infrastructure and traffic projects. She successfully gained her EngTech in November 2020 and on receipt of this, won the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation’s (CIHT) ‘Award for Outstanding Performance at Professional Review’ with subsequent publications on the Engineering Council and CIHT website. Alongside her day to day-to-day role, Catherine is currently doing a part-time degree in Civil Engineering and working towards her next professional qualification IEng. She is also a committed, social value leading figure in the Liverpool office and an active STEM ambassador.
Joe is a senior highways designer with nearly 10 years professional experience. Joe produces feasibility level designs to support clients in achieving planning permission, across a variety of land uses. His work tends to include: access design to new developments; design of off-site junction improvements and enhanced active travel links; input to masterplan/site layout design (including street hierarchy and cross sections); swept path analysis; and Road Safety Audit briefs and design team responses. Joe has recently gained his EngTech in November 2023 and is now working towards his IEng.
