CIHT North East and Cumbria welcome CIHT Senior Vice President, Deborah Sims, to the region. Deborah is visiting to attend our Annual Awards and Dinner but prior to the event, Deborah will meet members and local professionals at a lunchtime event. The lunchtime seminar will feature a talk by Graham Grant, Head of Transport Investment at Newcastle City Council.
Following the largest response to a consultation in Newcastle City Council’s history, this presentation will provide a brief outline of how the councils have developed plans to improve air quality. The presentation and subsequent discussion will also examine how this links to wider strategies including the declaration of a climate change emergency, the development of schemes, and what will happen next.
