This webinar will cover gender differences in the use of active travel infrastructure and gender differences in mode share. This is a joint event with Women in Transport.
As Scotland is embarking on a pathway towards the decrease in car travel it is essential that women’s needs are also considered. This will ensure an equity-based cycling infrastructure planning. The webinar is based upon the results from a recent study in Tyne and Wear, (North-East England). An increase in the cycling mode share is essential for a healthier population and sustainable living.
The event is aimed broadly at transport planners, transport researchers, transport engineers or technicians who design cycle infrastructure or public consultation specialists.
This is a joint event with Women in Transport.
