Following the discovery of corrosion in the cables of the Forth Road Bridge in 2005, work was rapidly progressed to procure and construct a new crossing.
The new Queensferry Crossing Bridge was opened by Her Majesty, The Queen, on 4th September 2017 following 10 years of design, planning and construction.
The Lecture will be followed by a panel-led discussion to consider how Engineering and Science Professionals can influence the procurement of strategic infrastructure investment.
