Today is International Women in Engineering Day #INWED2017, an awareness campaign to celebrate the achievements of outstanding women in engineering and the transportation sector. The day also focuses on the amazing careers available for girls in engineering. 

 

CIHT have celebrated INWED by showcasing a number of our female members who work within engineering and the transportation sector. Take a look through our Women in Transportation gallery to see some of the inspiring reasons why CIHT members chose careers in the industry.

CIHT have also produced a series of podcasts supporting International Women in Engineering Day. The podcasts explore topics such as how best to recruit to attract more women in engineering, the importance of STEM Ambassadors and whether universities should reconsider entry requirements for engineering degrees.
