We hope you will agree that the focus of our navigation and modern design reflects the dynamism of your region. CIHT professionals within the region are engaged in contributing to major infrastructure developments that are important to the regional and national economy.

In 2018 sustainable infrastructure developments in your region include:

• The Northern Powerhouse All Party Parliamentary Group calls for Government to bring forward delivery of Northern Powerhouse Rail to 2032.
• Rail connections between Lancashire and Leeds could be strengthened with the reopening of a 19km former line from Skipton to Colne. The Transport Secretary has announced a feasibility study into the scheme.
• The Transport Secretary announced that work starts in 2019 on the £3Bn programme to deliver faster services and improved capacity of the Transpennine 122km route between Manchester, Leeds and York.

Success in the CIHT Awards 2018

• Hull City Centre Public Realm Rejuvenation, Highly Commended.
