As the UK’s National Standards Body, BSI is the organisation authorised by the UK government to control and coordinate a wide range of standards work.
It achieves all this through an extensive range of expert committees often highly technical in nature.
CIHT members who are interested in specific documents or committee activity should register with BSI through the following link: https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/
This gives visibility of the documents under the control of each committee and allows users to obtain notifications of activity, most specifically when Drafts for Public Comment (DPC) are made available. This is the stage when documents are reaching the end of their drafting/revision process. If there is a CIHT representative on the committee then comments can be submitted to them, or alternatively, for any DPC they can be submitted to the committee direct. These options for contact also apply to comments or queries on the outside of revision activity.
