We hope you will agree that the focus of our navigation and modern design reflects the dynamism of your region. CIHT professionals within the region are engaged in contributing to major infrastructure developments that are important to the regional and national economy. 

Developments in your region in 2018 include:

• Transport Secretary Chris Grayling has granted Transport for London a Development Consent Order to deliver the twin bore road tunnel beneath the Thames in east London.
• Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Greater Manchester’s Mayor Andy Burnham and West Midlands Mayor Andy Street call for a ban on diesel and petrol vehicles to make the UK a global leader in low emission technology with a 30% reduction in pollution by 2030.
• Transport for London’s first Walking Action Plan, supported by Public Health England (PHE) launched to champion a million extra daily walking trips by 2024.
