We hope you will agree that the focus of our navigation and modern design reflects the dynamism of your region. CIHT professionals within the region are engaged in contributing to major infrastructure developments that are important to the regional and national economy.

 In 2018 developments in your region include:

• Government is funding the upgrade of the Brighton Main Line through Croydon. The investment allows Network Rail to deliver the ‘GRIP’ design stages of its Croydon Area Remodelling Scheme including an expanded East Croydon station, extra tracks and flyover junctions.
• The £120M redevelopment of Gatwick Airport’s railway station could start in 2019 after a planning application was submitted by Network Rail.
• Network Rail submitted its final Transport & Works Act Order proposals for phase two of the East West Rail project to deliver direct links between Oxford and Bedford, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury. Work could start in 2019.
