AGM NOTICE

We are giving notice that the CIHT North West Annual General Meeting will be held on 12th August 2020. Join us for our AGM where we will reflect on the past year and look forward to the next. This year, we will be holding this virtually. Of course, it is disappointing that we will not be able to see you all face-to-face but it does mean that our AGM this year will be more accessible than ever.

All CIHT members are welcome to join. To be elected to the committee you must be a Member or Fellow of CIHT.

There are several benefits to joining your regional committee including:

  • The ability to work with talented professionals in your area
  • The ability to share knowledge and contribute to key CIHT events
  • The ability to help shape the future of your CIHT committee

Your Region needs you! The North West Region committee is recruiting.

We are a vibrant, thriving region with a committee to match. We are looking for new members, who want to join us in promoting the excellence that exists in highways and transportation. There are lots of benefits of getting involved; CIHT’s regions and nations play a critical role for the Institution, acting as a focal point for members to meet and share their experiences locally.

The regions organise an annual programme of activities, which include CPD opportunities, seminars, site visits and social events. The Committee meets 6 times a year to discuss regional and national CIHT business, with opportunities to represent the region at a national level at various regional officer meetings.

CIHT is a Chartered Institution whose members reflect the depth and breadth of sector expertise.

We have several vacancies available on the committee including:

ROLE: Events Organiser (5 vacancies)

Responsibilities: Arrange region CPD, professional qualification and social events via your networks and the committees contacts for north west members. Please note, we ask that each event person contributes to the arranging of at least 1 event a year.

ROLE: Social Media Champion (2 vacancies)              

Responsibilities: Post details of regional events and news on Social media and report feedback to the committee.

ROLE: Treasurer (1 vacancy) 

Responsibilities: Produce the regions budget, process expenses and produce an annual report.            

ROLE: Membership Recruitment (2 vacancies) 

Responsibilities: Promote membership of the CIHT at events and run membership competitions/campaigns. 

ROLE: ‘Young’ Professionals Committee Members  (5 vacancies)   

Responsibilities:  Positions are available on the Young Professionals Committee as a sub-group to the main committee. The YPC meets regularly to discuss CIHT issues relating to members new to their career (no matter their age) and arranges events tailored to the needs of these members. Please note, the positions above are also open to YPs.
