CIHT Professional Development Framework

Join Cat Goumal, CIHT Head of Education and Professional Development and John Hall, CIHTs Professional Development Officer for this webinar, dedicated to the relaunch of the Professional Development Framework. 

You will learn all about the framework, what it is, who its for, how to use it and all of its many benefits. 

 

Synopsis

Designed to enhance the support for people working in highways and transportation by providing take them with a structured approach to achieving professional registration, the CIHT Professional Development Framework provides a clear and flexible pathway towards professional qualifications.

The CIHT Framework remains the only framework with pathways to both Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Engineering Technician (EngTech) and Chartered Transport Planning Professional (CTPP). This reflects the diverse breadth of roles in the sector. Depending on the qualification they are aiming for, a framework user will need to demonstrate a competency at various levels, including awareness, knowledge, experience or proficiency.  

 

Who Should Attend? 

Anyone who is involved in supporting the development of highways and transportation staff who want to work towards CEng, IEng, EngTech or CTPP should attend this session to find out more about the framework and how to become a CIHT framework employer. You could be a director, manager, HR manager, graduate manager etc.

Speakers

Cat Goumal - Head of Education and Professional Development

Cat Goumal is Head of Education and Professional Development at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. With over a decade of managing education and professional development for professionals working in construction and the built environment, Cat now leads on

all of CIHT's qualifications including the Chartered Transport Planning Professional, Chartered Engineer and the Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship as well as raising the profile of careers in highways and transportation and ensuring CIHT members develop the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the changing requirements of the sector.  

 

John Hall - Professional Development Officer, CIHT

John has held positions in the Education and Professional Development departments at two Professional Engineering Institutions. He has supported professional development pathway programs for both.

John has worked closely with Cat to help develop the Professional Development Framework and will be its primary administrator.
