We champion equality, diversity and inclusion. We work with employers to encourage people from all backgrounds to choose a career in our sector.

CIHT works with our members to improve the standard of practice across the fields of highways, transportation and infrastructure. We are the lead voice of the highways and transportation profession in the UK and globally.

The Bus Centre of Excellence team

The Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE) is run and managed by CIHT with funding from the Department for Transport, initially until the end of March 2025.

The team works closely with a wide range of organisations and individuals who are engaged with the delivery of bus services in England.

The BCoE digital engagement officers are key to getting key messages out to the BCoE membership and ensuring that members are informed and engaged in the work done by BCoE, for attracting new members to BCoE and ensuring events are widely advertised.

Applications without a cover letter will not be accepted. The cover letter needs to explain how the candidate meets the person specification for the job or demonstrates their suitability for the job.
