This is a joint CIHT East of England event with Bedford Civil Engineering Society looking at the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme.
Organised by CIHT East of England and Bedford Civil Engineering Society, this presentation will look at the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme (pictured).
The presentation will describe the scheme and how this will improve the travel time and driver experience for both journeys on the A1 through the frequently congested Black Cat junction and east-west journeys between Bedford and Cambridge.
We will hear how the scheme progressed through the Development Consent Order process on its way to achieving planning consent.
This will be a face-to-face meeting.
The meeting will be held at the Aircraft Research Association Social Club, with refreshments at 6.00pm and the talk commencing promptly at 6.30pm.
The club is situated at the end of Manton Lane, Bedford, MK41 7PF. A map of the location can be viewed here
The car park is on the left of and in front of the security gate. Additional free parking is available in Manton Lane. Please take care when parking and departing due to poor lighting and car park congestion.
This event is free to attend, however, you should register your attendance by using the 'book a place' option.
