Welcomed by Matthew Lugg OBE, CIHT President, 2018-2019 to the 14th Annual Awards Dinner, the audience of over 400 guests celebrated the achievements of private and public sector partners in delivering complex projects across 16 award categories against three key CIHT themes: People, Better Places and Our Profession. The evening recognised winning, highly commended and commended entries and acknowledged the high calibre of all 150 UK and international submissions.

Matthew Lugg, CIHT President said:

“Our awards recognise the remarkable achievement of those working in highways and transportation. It is evident that highways & transportation plays a central and vital role in supporting a prosperous, equitable and healthy society. We are seeing recognition from government around our call for more certainty around funding of transport projects and maintenance of our transport assets at the national and local level. CIHT will continue to push for real delivery on the infrastructure projects that have been planned.”
